We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Engineer to join our data reporting team. In this role, you will assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and infrastructure. You will work closely with data analysts and software engineers to ensure reliable data flow and accessibility for analytics and business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining data pipelines (ETL/ELT processes)
• Collect, process, and clean large datasets from multiple sources
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
• Monitor data systems to ensure reliability, performance, and data quality
• Troubleshoot data issues and support debugging efforts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements
• Document data processes, workflows, and system architecture
• Support data governance and security best practices

Skillset: **Qualifications **

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or related roles (internships count)
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Scala)
• Understanding of data structures and data processing concepts
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities

Experience

• Experience with RDBMS (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data modeling
