About this opening:
Commitment: approx. 5 hours a week Muslim Debate Forum (MDF) is a platform for respectful, evidence-based discussions. It brings together Muslims and non-Muslims to exchange ideas, challenge perspectives, and deepen understanding through structured debate. The MDF Communications Lead will serve as the key liaison between Muslim Debate Club campus chapters and the MDF external organization. This role involves coordinating communication across campus clubs, supporting event planning, and acting as the main point of contact for potential speakers. The Communications Lead will help ensure smooth collaboration for debate events, promote MDF initiatives, and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary communication link between Muslim Debate Club campus clubs and MDF leadership
- Reach out to and coordinate with potential speakers and debate participants to organize events
- Assist in promoting MDF events and initiatives through clear and timely communication
- Collaborate with other MDF team members to support event logistics and publicity
- Maintain updated contact lists and communication records for campus clubs and external partner
Skillset:
- Preferably have completed YD and/or currently completing MBP
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable with outreach and relationship-building
- Ability to manage multiple communication channels effectively
- Experience in debate or event coordination is a plus but not required
