About this opening:

Commitment: approx. 5 hours a week

As HR Operations Coordinator you will provide essential support within HR, handling recruitment, volunteer and contractor relations and record management and upkeep tasks. You will work closely with the Director of HR to ensure compliance and adoption of HR policies across the Institute.

Tasks include:

• Aid volunteer recruitment officer with recruitment of volunteers, primarily conducting interviews and assisting in onboarding and orientation
• Communication and follow-up with different department and team leads to ensure adoption and compliance of HR policies and initiatives
• Responding to team lead inquiries related to HR procedures and policies while fostering postive, open line communication
• Take ownership of certain HR initiatives, including HR newsletter

**Responsibilities are not limited to above tasks, and may include other tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the HR department. **

Skillset/Experience:

• Experience or education in volunteer coordination, HR, community work, non-profit work, or operations is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable with spreadsheets, dashboards, and basic admin work
• Ability to follow up professionally and stay organized
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently Consistent availability and long-term commitment are very important for this role
