About this opening:

Commitment: approx. 5 hrs a week As a researcher, you will be key in the pre-production of our shows:

• Sourcing aligned topics
• Getting the pulse on angles and what people want to know
• Diving in-depth to find relevant information, historical context, and materials to support the production of the episode and help the host(s) and producer with crafting the episodes
• Fact-check information
• Support in post-production with any extra material needed for the videos
• This is a project-based position. You will be working with one or multiple of our shows. Depending on the show, the degree and magnitude of research will vary.

Skillset:

• Any university-level research experience will be key.
• Already involved with i3: either have previously volunteered with i3 or have previously (or currently) taken one of our education programs (MBP or Al-Ezz).
• Experience with essay writing and rhetoric (drafting thesis statements, building solid arguments, connecting dots, and leveraging sources to back up arguments).
• Social media experience/video production experience is a bonus.
• Awareness of the digital landscape and an acute sense of reading the pulse on current events.
