About this opening:
Commitment: approx. 5 hrs a week
A Cybersecurity Analyst monitors, detects, investigates, and responds to security threats. They work to prevent cyberattacks and ensure the organization’s IT infrastructure remains secure and compliant with security standards.
Key - Responsibilities:
- Monitor networks, servers, and systems for security breaches or unusual activity
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and alerts
- Install, configure, and maintain security tools
- Perform vulnerability assessments and risk analysis
- Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with policies
- Analyze logs and security reports to identify threats
- Assist in incident response and recovery processes
- Recommend improvements to security architecture and controls
- Stay updated on new cybersecurity threats and trends
Skillset/Experience:Experience:
- Knowledge of networking
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and frameworks
- Familiarity with security tools (SIEM, firewalls, endpoint protection)
- Ability to analyze logs and detect anomalies
- Knowledge of operating systems
- Basic scripting skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Good communication skills for reporting incidents
