About this opening:

Commitment: approx. 5 hrs a week

A Cybersecurity Analyst monitors, detects, investigates, and responds to security threats. They work to prevent cyberattacks and ensure the organization’s IT infrastructure remains secure and compliant with security standards.

Key - Responsibilities:

• Monitor networks, servers, and systems for security breaches or unusual activity
• Investigate and respond to security incidents and alerts
• Install, configure, and maintain security tools
• Perform vulnerability assessments and risk analysis
• Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with policies
• Analyze logs and security reports to identify threats
• Assist in incident response and recovery processes
• Recommend improvements to security architecture and controls
• Stay updated on new cybersecurity threats and trends

Skillset/Experience:Experience:

• Knowledge of networking
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and frameworks
• Familiarity with security tools (SIEM, firewalls, endpoint protection)
• Ability to analyze logs and detect anomalies
• Knowledge of operating systems
• Basic scripting skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Good communication skills for reporting incidents
