About this opening:

Commitment: approx. 4-5 hours a week

  • Build and improve web features using TypeScript, React, and Next.js
  • Create clean, reusable UI components with shadcn/ui and Tailwind CSS
  • Work with Azure services for backend infrastructure, hosting, storage, and deployments
  • Design and work with PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and migrations using Drizzle
  • Implement authentication and authorization flows using BetterAuth
  • Build AI-powered workflows and automation systems
  • Integrate LLM APIs and AI features into real applications
  • Use tools like Claude Code and AI-assisted development workflows to prototype and ship faster
  • Help ship real features used by students and admins
  • Collaborate with a small, focused engineering team

What We’re Looking For:

  • Have taken or currently taking one of i3’s educational courses
  • Comfortable with JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Experience with React and Next.js
  • Familiarity with Azure, PostgreSQL, and Drizzle (or willingness to learn)
  • Interest in AI tooling, automation, and modern developer workflows
  • Basic understanding of authentication concepts and APIs
  • Reliable, communicative, and able to work independently
  • Tailwind CSS experience
  • Experience with AI tools, agents, or automation workflows
  • Stripe or payments exposure
  • Interest in education or community work
